Office 365 for Education
Members of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) Academic Community can use Microsoft Office 365 for Education with their institutional account credentials.
Office 365 is a comprehensive platform offering a range of services and applications that can be used by members of the Academic Community.
Services Provided
- 1 TB of storage through OneDrive for Business
- Online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
- Skype for Business
- Office 365 ProPlus for local installation on a computer
- Access to the desktop versions of Microsoft Office ProPlus
Who Is Eligible?
- Students and PhD candidates
- Teaching staff
- Permanent or contract staff
- Users with an active institutional account at NKUA
How to Access the Service
Sign-in is carried out using your institutional account through the Office 365 portal.
Once you sign in, an Office 365 account is created for you in the format xxx@o365.uoa.gr, where xxx is your University username. This account does not constitute a functional email address.

Procedure for Applying for a Postgraduate Student Academic Account and Email
Issuance of the Academic ID Card
Newly admitted students must submit an application through the Academic ID online service in order to obtain their Academic Identity Card electronically. The validity of the Academic ID as a Student Travel Pass (PASO) corresponds to the minimum period of study of the respective MSc Programme.
Application Procedure
- 1. Select “Student Registration”.
- 2. Select “Postgraduate Students” and create an account by entering the required personal information as requested by the system.
- 3. Upon completion of the process, you will receive an eight-digit verification code on your mobile phone.
- 4. Return to the same website and select “Student Login”, followed by “Postgraduate Student Login”.
- 5. Complete your application by entering the credentials you have created.
- 6. Contact and inform the Secretariat of the MSc Programme that you have submitted your application, so that it can be reviewed and approved.
